Bukayo Saka left Arsenal’s Champions League game at Bayern Munich with an injury Wednesday, and Mikel Arteta said the medical staff were concerned after the 2–2 draw. The Arsenal manager identified a quadriceps issue but did not give a recovery timetable.

Saka was replaced by Eberechi Eze in the 10th minute at the Allianz Arena. The Associated Press reported that he went down after playing the ball and was assessed by Arsenal’s medical staff before coming off.

“They are a bit concerned,” Arteta told TNT Sports, according to Press Association’s report from Munich. He said Arsenal needed to wait for a clearer assessment after Saka experienced sharp pain.

Eze scored in the 25th minute, but Alphonso Davies and Harry Kane’s penalty put Bayern ahead before Declan Rice equalized in the 82nd minute. Saka had started all seven of Arsenal’s Premier League matches this season.

The draw kept Arsenal unbeaten in the competition after victories over Napoli and Lille in their first two games.
