Aaron Judge backs Boone for 2027, urges Yankees to go ‘all in’ after ALDS exit
The Yankees captain supported his manager after Tampa Bay’s sweep while calling on the front office to address the roster’s weaknesses.

Aaron Judge backed manager Aaron Boone after the Yankees’ season ended Wednesday, while urging the front office to strengthen the roster for another championship pursuit.
“He’s our manager. He’s running this ship,” Judge said in postgame comments reported by SNY. The captain credited Boone’s handling of a season disrupted by injuries to several prominent players. Judge missed the postseason with a strained right calf.
Judge also called on ownership and the front office to go “all in,” including finding players or personnel to address weaknesses, UPI reported. Asked whether New York had already done enough, he acknowledged the difficulty of making every desired move but said a winning season alone did not meet the club’s championship expectations.
Boone remains under contract through 2027. He deferred discussion of his future after the 4-3 loss that completed Tampa Bay’s three-game ALDS sweep. Judge’s support does not constitute a team announcement about next season.
