Steelers place Michael Pittman Jr. on injured reserve before Colts game
His foot injury sidelines him for at least four games.

The Pittsburgh Steelers placed Michael Pittman Jr. on injured reserve Saturday ahead of their home game against the Indianapolis Colts, sidelining the receiver for at least four games. Official update.
Pittman has been dealing with a foot injury and missed the Week 2 game against New England. He started three of Pittsburgh’s first four games after joining the Steelers in an offseason trade from Indianapolis.
Pittsburgh signed defensive back Doneiko Slaughter to the 53-man roster as part of the same moves. Slaughter appeared in all four games this season, including three practice-squad elevations before joining the active roster for Week 4. He returned to the practice squad after that game.
The Steelers also elevated running back Lew Nichols and receiver Brandon Smith for Sunday’s matchup at Acrisure Stadium. Both are due to revert to the practice squad after the game.
Pittman spent his first six NFL seasons with the Colts. Pittsburgh acquired him in the offseason and signed him to a new three-year contract.
