White Sox chase ALDS sweep and first home playoff clincher since 1906

Chicago leads Cleveland 2-0 entering Wednesday’s Game 3 at Rate Field, with first pitch at 2 p.m. Mountain Time.

The White Sox need one more win to reach the American League Championship Series for the first time since 2005. They lead Cleveland 2-0 entering ALDS Game 3 at Rate Field on Wednesday, October 7.

MLB.com’s game-day guide identifies 1906 as Chicago’s last postseason series-clinching victory at home.

Chicago’s announced lineup has Sam Antonacci leading off as designated hitter and Randal Grichuk batting eighth in left field. Miguel Vargas, Munetaka Murakami and Kyle Teel follow Antonacci in the order. Sean Newcomb will open against Cleveland right-hander Daniel Espino.
