NFL Cut London Ticket Prices to Fill Stadium, Russo Says

Chris Russo questioned demand for Colts–Commanders at Tottenham after Sunday’s game, saying the NFL reduced prices to draw fans.

“And although the NFL will never admit it, they had to reduce ticket prices to put people in the building,” Chris Russo said.

Russo made the claim on Mad Dog Unleashed on Monday, October 5, during the final hour of his NFL recap, discussing the Colts’ 30–13 win over the Commanders at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

“This is the 13th game in Tottenham, only 61,000 were there,” he said.

The stadium’s official report recorded 60,907 spectators for the October 4 game and confirmed it was Tottenham’s 13th NFL fixture.

The NFL’s sales page advertised lower-tier adult seats from £79.13. Its published seating map assigned that price to upper-tier Category 9, with lower-tier categories priced higher.

Those records support a cheaper lower-tier offer. They do not establish how many tickets were unsold or the NFL’s reason for the offer. Russo’s explanation that it was needed to fill the stadium remains his claim.

Russo suggested some fans might be “getting a little bored of seeing Colts-Commanders.”
