NFL suspends Jeff Seeman and Adrian Hill over player incidents

The NFL suspended line judge Jeff Seeman for two games and referee Adrian Hill for one game Monday over separate incidents involving players during Sunday’s games.

Vice president of officiating Ramon George issued both suspensions for “unprofessional conduct toward a player,” the league said.

Seeman appeared to curse at Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during Arizona’s loss to the Giants. The exchange followed a play on which officials did not call pass interference or illegal contact.

Hill appeared to yell at Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson after the two collided during Minnesota’s game against Miami.

The decisions followed public criticism of the exchanges and discussion of how officials handle confrontations. Pat McAfee’s show addressed that question before the league announced the suspensions.
