Jaron “Boots” Ennis has signed a contract extension covering his next seven fights with Matchroom Boxing, the promoter announced Tuesday. The agreement keeps the 29-year-old Philadelphia boxer with Eddie Hearn’s company as he pursues the remaining world titles at 154 pounds.

Ennis first joined Matchroom in April 2024. That partnership brought two IBF welterweight title defenses to Philadelphia against David Avanesyan and Karen Chukhadzhian, followed by a unification victory over Eimantas Stanionis in Atlantic City.

He subsequently moved to super welterweight, stopping Uisma Lima in the opening round for the interim WBA title before beating Xander Zayas to unify world titles in the division.

Matchroom identifies IBF champion Josh Kelly and WBC champion Sebastian Fundora as the holders of the belts Ennis is still pursuing. Kelly also signed with Matchroom on Tuesday, according to the announcement. The seven-fight agreement establishes Ennis’s promotional commitment; it does not itself announce an opponent, date or venue for his next bout. Ennis said becoming undisputed champion remains his objective.
