Pittsburgh honors Lemieux, Franco Harris and Myron Cope
The sports figures joined a ten-person class at Tuesday’s Pittsburgh Walk of Fame ceremony.

Mario Lemieux, Franco Harris and Myron Cope were among 10 people honored at the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame’s second annual induction ceremony Tuesday. Their stars were unveiled at The Terminal on Smallman Street in the Strip District.
Lemieux attended the ceremony, while family members accepted recognition for Harris and Cope. Harris’ wife, Dana Dokmanovich Harris, and son Franco “Dok” Harris were pictured at the event, and Elizabeth Cope received her father’s plaque.
The class also included Jimmy Stewart, Martha Graham, Charles “Teenie” Harris, H.J. Heinz, Shirley Jones, Henry Mancini and George Westinghouse. The Walk of Fame’s inaugural 2025 class included Roberto Clemente, Fred Rogers, Andrew Carnegie and Andy Warhol.
WQED’s Rick Sebak served as master of ceremonies, and River City Brass performed during the unveilings. Organizers said thousands of nominations were submitted earlier this year. The attraction approaches its first anniversary next week, with a new granite sign installed at Smallman and 18th streets.
