The New England Patriots ruled out five players Wednesday for Thursday night’s game at Chicago, leaving two guards and three cornerbacks unavailable. The Bears also ruled out running back Kyle Monangai and linebacker Jack Sanborn in their final injury report.
Guards Alijah Vera-Tucker, with a hamstring injury, and Ben Brown, with a knee injury, will miss the game. Cornerback Carlton Davis III is out with a neck injury, while Karon Prunty and Channing Canada are out with hamstring injuries, according to the teams’ Wednesday report.
New England also listed right tackle Morgan Moses, safeties Kevin Byard III and Craig Woodson, and linebacker Christian Elliss as questionable. Moses was limited by a foot injury. Byard and Elliss were full participants with chest injuries, and Woodson practiced fully with a shoulder injury.
Quarterback Drake Maye, receiver A.J. Brown and running back TreVeyon Henderson were full participants and received no game designation. Brown had been limited by an ankle injury Tuesday.
Chicago’s Monangai is out with thumb and toe injuries, and Sanborn is out with a concussion. Linebacker T.J. Edwards is doubtful with a hamstring injury. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is questionable with a hip injury.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. MDT Thursday at Soldier Field. Both teams enter 4-2. Questionable designations leave those players’ availability unresolved ahead of the game.
