Ohio State ends Indiana’s 22-game winning streak with 19–15 victory
The Buckeyes win the top-five matchup, but Ryan Day says injured quarterback Julian Sayin will probably miss several weeks.

No. 4 Ohio State ended No. 5 Indiana’s 22-game winning streak with a 19–15 victory Saturday at Memorial Stadium, but quarterback Julian Sayin left the game with an injury.
Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said afterward that Sayin would probably miss several weeks, according to Ohio State’s official game report. Freshman Luke Fahey finished at quarterback. The report did not give a specific diagnosis.
Sayin completed 15 of 29 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns. His two-yard scoring pass to Bo Jackson put Ohio State ahead before halftime, and a 38-yard touchdown connection with Jeremiah Smith on fourth down extended the lead to 19–7 early in the fourth quarter.
Indiana answered with Josh Hoover’s 19-yard touchdown pass to Nick Marsh and a successful two-point conversion, cutting the margin to four. The Hoosiers did not score again.
The official Indiana box score lists Hoover with 296 passing yards and Charlie Becker with 165 receiving yards. Indiana outgained Ohio State 369–313, but the Buckeyes recovered two Hoosiers fumbles.
Both teams are 6–1. Ohio State is 4–0 in Big Ten play; Indiana is 3–1. The Buckeyes have an open date before visiting USC on Oct. 31.
