Enzo Maresca says Manchester City’s players and supporters have grown closer since the verdict in the club’s Premier League financial-rules case. Speaking Friday, the manager said his attention remained on winning matches, Reuters reported.

The independent commission upheld 114 of 115 charges, according to Reuters. City deny wrongdoing and have appealed. Maresca said he continued to trust the club’s leadership.

On the field, City’s official match preview confirms they host Ipswich at 3 p.m. British time Saturday. City have won their first six league matches, while Gary O’Neil’s promoted visitors have won three of six and sit 10th.

The league leaders return to domestic play after losing 4-2 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Ipswich have had a full week to prepare, a difference Maresca highlighted in the club preview. Saturday’s match gives City a chance to extend their perfect league start while the appeal proceeds separately from the playing schedule.
