Liverpool has completed its deal worth up to £123 million for Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. The agreement is reported to include £106 million up front and a further £17 million in performance-related add-ons.
Barcola arrives as a France international who can change a game with pace and direct running. He said Liverpool’s interest required no second thought: “When I knew about Liverpool’s interest in me, I didn’t ask questions.” He added that it is “a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool.”
His new role should be larger than the impact role he often filled at PSG. Barcola said he wants to bring “speed, danger” to Anfield, while fellow Frenchman and new teammate Hugo Ekitike kept urging him to complete the move: “I can’t wait to get back together and be able to play with him.”
