Team updates
Seattle Seahawks
Darnold ruled out, Lock starts at Arizona
Sam Darnold · Out (hip) Drew Lock · Starting
Mike Macdonald ruled Darnold out for Week 2 but said the team does not plan to put him on injured reserve. The Seahawks report that Lock will take the starter's practice reps, with Jalen Milroe as the backup and no other quarterback being added.
TSP read: Lock is a Week 2 streamer. He played most of Week 1, so Seattle's pass catchers keep the value they showed last week.
Minnesota Vikings
Murray limited; Mason to injured reserve
Kyler Murray · Limited (concussion) Jordan Mason · IR (thumb)
Murray was limited in the Vikings' first practice of the week as he works through the concussion protocol, leaving open a start at Chicago. Wentz starts if he does not clear. MPR News reports Mason went to injured reserve with a designation to return after a small thumb fracture, and Kevin O'Connell expects him back after the four-game minimum. Aaron Jones stays atop the depth chart, and Deejay Dallas was promoted from the practice squad. Receiver Jauan Jennings missed the first practice for a family matter.
TSP read: Hold Wentz only in two-quarterback leagues until Friday. Jones is a stronger Week 2 start with Mason out. Dallas is a deep-league stash at most.
Las Vegas Raiders
Bowers has not practiced this week
Brock Bowers · No practice yet (knee)
Bowers is a little over a week removed from a meniscus trim. Klint Kubiak said he is still day to day and hopes Bowers can practice before Sunday. The Raiders play at the Chargers in the 4:05 p.m. ET window.
TSP read: Keep Mayer rostered. If Bowers does not practice by Friday, Mayer is a streaming tight end, and the late kickoff leaves time to pivot.
Baltimore Ravens
Flowers has not practiced this week
Zay Flowers · No practice yet (hamstring)
Flowers aggravated a preseason hamstring issue in the Week 1 win at Indianapolis after a big first half. The Ravens listed him as a non-participant in the first practice of the week, and Jesse Minter still calls him day to day. Rookie Ja'Kobi Lane is on injured reserve after wrist surgery, and Chris Moore was moved to the 53-man roster.
TSP read: This afternoon's practice report is the tell. Line up a replacement receiver for Sunday's 1 p.m. ET game against New Orleans.
Cincinnati Bengals
Burrow limited with back tightness, expects to play
Joe Burrow · Limited (back)
Burrow was limited to open the week and said the soreness showed up after the Week 1 win. NFL.com reports he expects to play at Houston. Joe Flacco is the backup.
TSP read: Start Burrow as usual unless Friday's report adds a game designation.
Detroit Lions
Two offensive line starters out for Thursday night
Christian Mahogany · Out (hip) Blake Miller · Out (knee) D.J. Reed · Questionable (foot)
CBS Sports reports Detroit ruled out left guard Mahogany and right tackle Miller. Cornerback Reed is questionable after two limited practices this week.
TSP read: Keep Detroit's skill players in lineups, but a thinner line trims expectations for the run game and raises pressure risk.
Buffalo Bills
Three questionable for the Highmark Stadium opener
Ty Johnson · Questionable (hamstring) Cole Bishop · Questionable (knee, groin)
NBC Sports reports Bishop, Johnson and defensive lineman T.J. Sanders are questionable. Linebacker Terrel Bernard has no designation. With Johnson resting in Week 1, Frank Gore Jr. took only five offensive snaps.
TSP read: Johnson is a deep-league third-down option only. Check inactives about 90 minutes before kickoff.

Edition overview, reporting cutoff, status key and sources
Thursday · September 17, 2026
This edition covers where things stand midday for the players we flagged on Tuesday, a new injured reserve move in Minnesota, and the final game statuses for tonight's Bills–Lions game.
Reporting cutoff: September 17, 2026, 11:35 a.m. MDT / 1:35 p.m. ET. This follows the Tuesday usage and waivers edition. Practice participation is from each team's first official report of the week. Buffalo's session was a walkthrough, so its participation levels are estimates.
What changed
- Quarterbacks: Sam Darnold is ruled out and Drew Lock will start at Arizona. Kyler Murray was limited and has not been ruled out. Joe Burrow was limited with back tightness but says he will play.
- Injured reserve: Jordan Mason (Minnesota) has a small thumb fracture and will miss at least four games.
- No practice yet this week: Brock Bowers (knee) and Zay Flowers (hamstring).
- Thursday night: Detroit is without two offensive line starters. Buffalo lists three players as questionable, including running back Ty Johnson.
Fantasy impact
Lock moves from a likely streamer to a confirmed one. Wentz stays a two-quarterback-league option until Murray's status is settled, which the Vikings hope to know by Friday. With Mason on IR, Aaron Jones takes the lead early-down role in Minnesota. Keep Michael Mayer rostered until Bowers practices, and have a receiver ready to replace Flowers if he misses Thursday too. This is our analysis, separate from the linked reporting.
