Bournemouth Beat 10-Man Milan 3–0 to Stay Perfect in Europa League

Bournemouth beat 10-man AC Milan 3–0 at Vitality Stadium on Thursday, October 22, maintaining its perfect start to the Europa League league phase with a third consecutive victory.

Justin Kluivert put Bournemouth ahead with an eighth-minute penalty. Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan was sent off in the 27th minute, and Marcus Tavernier converted another penalty in the 32nd to give the hosts a 2–0 halftime lead, according to Milan’s official match account.

Amine Adli added the third goal in the 84th minute. Milan had brought on goalkeeper Lorenzo Torriani for Omari Hutchinson in the 32nd minute after Maignan’s dismissal.

The result takes Bournemouth to nine points from three matches. It had opened its campaign with a 2–1 win at Real Sociedad before beating Sturm Graz 3–0 at home. Milan remains on three points after losing 2–0 to Benfica and winning 4–0 at Salzburg in its first two league-phase games.
