Cam Little kicked a 57-yard field goal on the final play to give the Jacksonville Jaguars a 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday, October 11.
Philadelphia had taken a 17-16 lead on Jake Elliott’s 48-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining. Ameer Abdullah then returned the kickoff 53 yards, leaving Jacksonville one second to attempt the winning kick.
The finish gave the Jaguars their third consecutive win and a 4-1 record. The Eagles dropped to 2-3 after their third straight defeat.
An emergency snap on the winning kick
Jacksonville completed the decisive play without its regular long snapper. Ross Matiscik left with a first-quarter shoulder injury, and defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton handled snapping duties, including Little’s winner, according to the Jaguars’ official game report.
Trevor Lawrence finished 24-of-39 for 331 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Both touchdown passes went to Parker Washington, who caught six passes for 124 yards, Reuters reported.
Washington’s second touchdown came on fourth-and-5, a 27-yard reception that put Jacksonville ahead 16-14 with 3:20 remaining. Elliott briefly restored Philadelphia’s lead before Abdullah and Little settled the game.
Jalen Hurts completed 21 of 40 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown. Philadelphia led 14-7 at halftime but could not protect its final lead.
