Ryan Lindgren out 4–6 weeks for Kraken with upper-body injury
Seattle placed the defenseman on injured reserve Thursday before a five-game road trip that begins in Detroit.

The Seattle Kraken placed defenseman Ryan Lindgren on injured reserve Thursday and expect him to miss four to six weeks with an upper-body injury, according to the team announcement reported by NHL.com.
Lindgren was injured in the first period of Tuesday’s 6–2 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights. He played 3:57 before leaving. Field Level Media reported that Vegas forward Marc Gatcomb hit him from behind early in the period.
The 28-year-old has played four games this season without a point and has a plus-3 rating. He is in the second season of a four-year, $18 million contract with Seattle.
Across 485 NHL games with the New York Rangers, Colorado Avalanche and Kraken, Lindgren has recorded 16 goals and 95 assists, according to Field Level Media.
Seattle, 2–2–0, opens a five-game road trip against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday. The game begins at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. The announced recovery estimate puts Lindgren’s absence at several weeks; the injury update did not set a specific return date.
