CeeDee Lamb Says 2–4 Cowboys Can Still Win NFC East
Lamb and Dak Prescott say the division remains within reach, with Monday’s Eagles game their immediate focus.
CeeDee Lamb believes the Dallas Cowboys can still win the NFC East despite their 2–4 start, with Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles the next chance to improve their position.
“Anybody can win his division, so why not us?” Lamb said Friday in remarks reported by the Cowboys’ Patrik Walker. He said Dallas must play more complementary football and match its performances to the talent he believes the roster possesses.
The Cowboys have lost two consecutive games, including last Sunday’s 23–13 defeat at Green Bay. Dak Prescott dropped back 54 times in that loss. Lamb said a fast start and a stronger running game could help the offense, while Prescott also called for better balance.
Prescott shared Lamb’s belief that the division remains open but emphasized handling the Eagles first. He said Dallas could not afford to look beyond its current opponent after dropping two straight games.
Prescott noted that some divisional opponents are still on the schedule twice, while stressing that Monday’s result must come first.
