Brandon Miller Reportedly Agrees to Five-Year, $209 Million Hornets Extension
Charlotte reaches a reported deal with the 23-year-old forward ahead of the rookie-extension deadline.

Brandon Miller and the Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a five-year, $209 million contract extension, The Associated Press reported Monday, citing a person familiar with the negotiations.
The agreement came ahead of Monday’s deadline for rookie-scale extensions. ESPN’s Shams Charania also reported the deal, citing Miller’s representatives. Charlotte had not announced the agreement when AP published its report.
Miller, 23, averaged 20.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists last season. He played 65 games in his third NBA campaign, continuing his development after Charlotte selected him second overall in the 2023 draft.
The extension comes as the Hornets enter their first season since trading LaMelo Ball to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Miller is expected to carry more of Charlotte’s scoring responsibility after Ball’s departure.
Across his first three seasons, Miller has averaged 19 points per game and made 37.3% of his 3-point attempts. The Hornets open the regular season Wednesday at Brooklyn.
