Texans rule out Montgomery and Pitre for London game
Houston will face Jacksonville at Wembley without two starters. Woody Marks is expected to take the larger backfield role.

The Houston Texans have ruled running back David Montgomery and safety Jalen Pitre out of Sunday’s game against Jacksonville at Wembley Stadium in London, ESPN’s DJ Bien-Aime reported Thursday.
Montgomery has a groin injury and Pitre a shoulder injury. Both were hurt in Houston’s 26–3 win over Tennessee last week and had started all five games this season.
Woody Marks is expected to lead the backfield in Montgomery’s absence. Rookie safety Kamari Ramsey is the likely replacement for Pitre. Houston enters the AFC South matchup at 1–4; Jacksonville is 4–1.
The Texans’ official practice report listed Montgomery and Pitre as nonparticipants Wednesday and Thursday. The club’s first victory of the season therefore comes with two starting jobs to cover for its overseas trip.
Receiver Tank Dell also will not travel, according to Bien-Aime. Dell has returned to practice as he works back from the knee injury that ended his 2024 season, but that progress has not yet produced a return to game action.
