How to watch

ESPN’s U.S. tripleheader carries Devils–Red Wings at 4 p.m., Avalanche–Stars at 6:30 p.m. and Bruins–Sharks at 9 p.m. Boston viewers use NESN for the last game because ESPN’s feed is blacked out in that market. ESPN games also stream in the ESPN app with an applicable plan; the other 13 games are on NHL Power Play in the app with any ESPN plan.

The U.S. whiparound show runs from 5 to 10 p.m. on ESPN2, Disney+ and the ESPN app, with John Buccigross and Kevin Weekes following the full slate. The Point begins at 3 p.m. on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

Canadian listings above come from the NHL’s October 13 schedule. Regional TSN and RDS games depend on location. Where the table says Game Finder, check Sportsnet’s province-and-postal-code lookup for an out-of-market route. Sportsnet+ Premium and NHL Centre Ice carry out-of-market games, but they do not unlock another broadcaster’s local regional feed.

Matchups to watch

Sidney Crosby and Patrick Kane meet in Chicago at 6 p.m., followed by Colorado–Dallas at 6:30 p.m. Toronto visits Utah at 7 p.m., Edmonton faces Los Angeles at 8:30 p.m., and David Pastrnak’s Bruins meet Macklin Celebrini’s Sharks in the final game.
