Flyers goalie Dan Vladar is day to day with an upper-body injury, according to a September 23 update reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer and cited by RotoWire.

Vladar left Tuesday's preseason game in Boston during the first period, forcing Aleksei Kolosov into action earlier than planned. The Bruins went on to win 5-1.

Coach Rick Tocchet expressed relief in Wednesday's update, offering a more encouraging assessment than the uncertainty immediately after the game. Philadelphia still has to determine when Vladar can return to the ice and whether he will be available for the opener.
